My poor girl...because the bat was in her bedroom, she had to go and start Rabies treatment! The CDC sent us to the ER. They fast tracked us and she got two huge 10cc shots of thick liquid in her shoulder muscles (one on each side). And then a 5 cc shot on her thigh.She'll have another shot on days 3,7, 14 and 28: ( She was really awesome and didn't cry at the shots, teared up a bit afterwards because her shoulder muscles hurt ALOT.
And even though all of the animals were up to date on their shots, Piper and Mya, the two cats who had contact with the bat will have to go and have Rabies boosters tomorrow.
